How to request deletion
- Email support@pinown.com with the subject “Pinown account deletion request”.
- Send the message from the email address associated with your Pinown account, and include your Pinown display name. Do not send your password.
- We may ask for reasonable information to verify that you control the account before processing the request.
Account deletion is not currently available as a self-service control in the app. Use the email process above to request it. We will contact you if we need more information or cannot complete the request.
Information deleted with the account
After we verify and process a request, we delete or de-identify the account’s authentication record and personal profile information, including display name, email-linked account, city, biography, interests, profile photo and visibility settings. Associated profile interests, event participation, connection requests, companion requests and join requests are also deleted or de-identified where they are linked to that account and can be removed without affecting another person’s account or records.
Information that may be retained
We may retain limited information where required by law, to address safety reports, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, or establish or defend legal claims. This can include relevant moderation or transaction records. We restrict retained information to the applicable purpose and delete or de-identify it when that purpose ends or the legal retention period expires. The retention period depends on the applicable legal requirement or issue; we can explain the reason and expected period in response to your request where permitted.
Data held by advertising or other independent service providers may be subject to their own deletion processes and retention policies. We will direct you to the provider where a separate request is needed.
